Diamond Gymnastics coming to old Grand Bakery spot
This new “kids gym” moving into the old Grand Bakery location at 8th & Willow finally has a name: Diamond Gymnastics.
2nd Diamond Gymnastics location in New Jersey
Diamond Gymnastics already has 14,000 sq. ft. location in East Hanover, NJ. All sorts of kiddie activity to get them off their lazy Xbox playing butts! I think it’s cool that the kids get to bounce around on trampolines and uneven bars. But not sure if the Hoboken spot will have the rock climbing wall as well (it’s considerably smaller.)
“The staff at Diamond Gymnastics believes that everyone can improve their coordination, body awareness and overall fitness level by participating in gymnastics. The beginner as well as the advanced gymnast will have the opportunity to grow athletically, gain self-confidence and have fun in a safe environment.”
The location will have various summer camps, and is available to book parties. This place should be a huge hit in Hoboken.
New Kids Gym coming to 8th & Willow
This construction project at the old Grand Bakery at 8th & Willow has been taking forever. However, as of recently it has been coming together more quickly. I asked contractors the other day what was going in – and they told me a “Kids Gym.” And from what I saw from the inside, there will be a mini basketball court (two stories high), and other “tumbling” and activity areas.
I guess with such little park space freely available in Hoboken – the business owner will strike gold at this place.
Pulse of life at 8th & Willow (Grand Bakery) – A new gym?
The old Grand Bakery spot at 8th & Willow Avenue is so old – it wasn’t even open when Hoboken411 started over seven years ago.
A pulse of life has been taking place at the location as of late, as workers have been seen making changes to the long-defunct corner spot.
When I asked them recently what was coming next, they replied (rather unintelligibly), “Fitness center. Work out.” Which I asked “A new gym?” And they concurred. Take that for what it’s worth.
But whatever it may be (classes, weights, machines, other types of cardio – or “all of the above”), not too many Hoboken gyms close to this location in town, which may be good for those who love spending their spare time struggling towards some peak fitness goal. So if true, this may be a pretty good business idea.
