Mills Tavern – 125 Washington St. – Hoboken, NJ
While some Hoboken businesses come and go – other establishments go through transformations and upgrades without change of ownership. Take the upcoming Mills Tavern which is replacing the old Whiskey Bar at 125 Washington Street.
The new bar is still a ways from opening, but rest assured it will be a substantial upgrade to the previous watering hole which ran it’s course. The owners were smart, and chose local designer Rob Feinstein (who we told you earlier this week started the Soapbox furniture company).
We won’t reveal all the details at the moment, but the interior will certainly feel high-end and be visually appealing to everyone. Also new, will be the addition of a second floor, effectively doubling the capacity of the Whiskey Bar.
Hopefully Mills Tavern will attract top-notch musical acts, as there are not many places to see good bands anymore in Hoboken other than Maxwell’s. NO live acts at Mills Tavern, in fact it’s becoming a full-fledged restaurant.
Wonder what the next bar or restaurant to voluntarily renovate will be in Hoboken?
