Hoboken kindness continues

Some more Hoboken kindness on Sunday, November 4th

  • The Operation BBQ Relief we told you about yesterday at 14th & Washington continues. Amongst other things – they have over 1,300 pounds of slow-cooked pork! Also, the National Guard will be picking a lot of food to deliver to areas where people might not be able to access (like senior buildings, etc.)
  • The Elks Lodge No. 74 continues with free food, coffee, water and other snacks.
  • The Mason Civic League has also been a huge contributor to the community. They organized over 400 volunteers and have given out 100 pizzas and served over 500 trays of food at her cost. “Come down to 1200 Washington Street and join us. We also have electricity for you to charge your phone or other electronics, as well as food, water, coffee, and other supplies. Together we will continue to make Hoboken a wonderful place to live and raise a family.”

I also heard the elks club brought trays of hot food to the senior building on first since there was no power. Its great to hear these kinds of things.

All 89 families of the Hoboken Housing would like to thank Sandra Kelly And Angel Ramos for giving us food when aid did not come to us in the projects.. Mrs. kelly took all of her money to feed us and our families and gave us hope that help will arrive…tears came down when miss kelly gave bags of canned food…and also brought hot food from jersey city to us here in hoboken housing….someone actually does care in our community…..Many thanks and blessings to both sandra kelly and angel ramos…we will never forget what you did for us…

Nice to see so many people providing for their neighbors and giving back to the community that has given them so much.

Speaking of which…..where’s the Cake Boss?!?!?!!

You would think for all the millions we put in his pocket that he could show up through the tough times to lend some hope and encouragement……maybe a cupcake and coffee???

But I guess we can all wait till he shoots the episode where he puts on a benefit to aide those who lost everything in the storm and makes out like the Hoboken hometown hero again (to all those who live outside Hoboken anyways) – trust me, that episode is coming!

Asking him to come down at this point is just too far below him. Once we get everything all cleaned up and restored though we should be sure to let him know and extend a lovely invite to come back and exploit our community again. Oh wait, it’s his community too, or was…….pretty sure the same community that did everything they could to help his family when they had little and were having tough times.

Hope he’s enjoying his new community with his new shop in the burbs……..the American dream…..selling out……..
