Google Business Photos

Update: Google Business Photos loves Hoboken!

Anthony from Black Paw Photo, who is in charge of getting local businesses photographed and added to Google (Maps, Plus, etc.) has some exciting news. They’re extending their stay another week (until 9/30/2012)! Want to know why? Anthony says:

“Based on our response today, we found was that folks in Hoboken are really friendly, so we are going to spend some extra time hanging out here…”

Kudos to our local business owners! Oh – and here is an example of one business downtown (Hotel Victor Bar & Grill) who joined. It’s just like Google “street view.”

Google Business Photos coming to Hoboken, NJ

Attention Hoboken business owners! If you don’t have a Google Plus page – now is the time you set one up!

Google Business PhotosGoogle has a new program called Google Business Photos,” and it gives the public the ability to have a look at the inside of a business as they are shopping online. It includes a 360 degree virtual tour (sort of like Street View, but inside!) and a set of photos which are published by Google on your Google+ Local page, Google Maps and Google Search.

Street View technology creates a 360-degree virtual tour of your establishment beginning on the street and progressing in and throughout the business. It provides an interactive experience for the consumers as they click through, pan 360 degrees up and down, and even zoom in on merchandise, decor or signs for a closer look.

Google Trusted Photographer Anthony Caccamo (who owns Black Paw Photo) is covering the Hoboken, NJ area from today (9/10/2012) through Sunday, September 23, 2012 – and will be contacting qualified businesses that already have Google+ Local Pages. Only a limited number of businesses can be included during his trip to our area – so go to and fill out the the form to see if you can get a scheduled photo session for your business. Very cool stuff indeed!

Spiffy, sounds like we’d find quite a crowd at that hour. I don’t know if Google or McDonald’s would be interested in showing off the spectacle there may be at that time of the morning! 🙂

When they get to McDonald’s, it has to be at 3am on a weekend.
