Water fountains are not sanitary

Hoboken fountains are actually bird baths!

I don’t even know who uses public water fountains any more these days. I guess if it was the only source of water for survival I’d have to, but if you ever observe the few fountains we do have in town – you’d think twice about using them.

On an almost daily basis, you’ll see some filthy pigeon or squirrel helping themselves to water – like this example over at Elysian Park. The bird was walking in and around the spout like he owned it. Will you still use the fountains after seeing this photo?

The water that fills your toilet comes out a pure clean spout but I don’t see any sipping out the toilet bowl.

yes, I would. the water comes out of the spout and is self cleaning, besides, would you deny our indigenous critters a drink on a hot day.
“Grandfather, Great Spirit, once more behold me on earth and lean to hear my feeble voice. You lived first, and you are older than all need, older than all prayer. All things belong to you — the two-legged, the four-legged, the wings of the air, and all green things that live.
