Hoboken’s Chef Pino Ventures Outdoors at Garden Street Mews

Hoboken Family Farmers Market Saturdays Garden Street Mews 2012 - On The FlipSideChef Anthony Pino, of Hoboken’s well-regarded Dining Room at Anthony David’s and Bin 14 Wine Bar, launches his On The FlipSide burger shack, a centerpiece of the soon-to-open Hoboken Family Farmer’s Market, held Saturdays 9:00am to 2:00pm starting June 2nd and running through October.

The Market is located at the Garden Street Mews, a private pedestrian block of Garden Street between 14th & 15th Streets.

The Mews was created through the efforts of local firm Bijou Properties to encourage an interactive community. The Market itself was founded by Bijou, is managed by Jessica Gaber and Christina Coroneos of Bijou, and will offer shoppers fruits, vegetables and herbs, many organic selections, flowers, prepared foods, and more. Up and down the street, there will be live music, arts, and kids’ activities and street play games. Visitors will surely want to stop for a bite from Chef Pino, whose considerable skills extend beyond the kitchen to the outdoor grill.

On The FlipSide will serve a fun and flavorful menu of:

  • All-natural Angus Burgers (Traditional, Big Boy Blue/Caramelized Onions, American Cowboy/Artisan Cheddar) – starting at $5.75
  • Spiced Homemade Fries (Sea Salt, Old Bay, Gorgonzola, Tallegio, Cilantro Lime) – $2.50
  • Gelato Sandwiches – $3.00
  • A selection of killer Breakfast Sandwiches will also be offered in the morning – $4.50 and up

Anthony is also committed to his community (what other wine bar sponsors a Little League team?) Sharing Bijou’s commitment to green practices, and as culinary curator for the Market, Pino assisted in the selection of other vendors, insuring that his friends, neighbors and patrons from nearby towns had top quality and wide variety to choose from.

The list includes: Stony Hill Farm, Poplar Wood Farms, Choc O Pain, The Cheese Store, Pickle Licious, Hoboken Farms, Hoboken Historical Museum, Passion Fruits Artisanal Ice Pops, Lizzmonade, Bodhi Handmade Soap, Aunt Vicky’s Bickys (organic dog biscuits), Charley’s Organic Toffee, JD Gourmet, Made With Love Organic Bakery and Café, South Town Farms and Burts Mountain Honey.

The warm-weather aromas from On The FlipSide’s sizzling grill will fill the market and tantalize shoppers, making the Hoboken Family Farmer’s Market a regular weekend stop for people eager to satisfy their hunger for healthy and artisanal food products.
