Spring 2012 Arts & Music Festival: May 6th

Hoboken Spring 2012 Arts & Music Festival: Sunday, May 6th

The first of two Hoboken Arts & Music Festivals in 2012 takes place on Washington Street between Observer Highway and 7th Streets on Sunday, May 6th.

Oddly for the signage – they left the last “S” off the “Arts.” Is there only one artist this year? (haha)

Just like always (rinse, repeat), you can mill around the streets from 11am to 6pm to see hundreds of (mostly) out-of-town vendors selling food, artwork, and myriad of other trinkets and tchotchkes.

Big attractions are typically the zeppoles and fried crab cakes – and of course Cake Boss oglers will be around too. Three music stages also set up. The main stage is south of the CVS downtown, a kiddie stage at 3rd Street, and a secondary stage at the north end of the festival between 6th and 7th Streets.

Some of this year’s featured musical acts signed up so far include:

Various other lesser-knows acts will be performing as well, so feel free to follow your ears if your hear something you like!

There were a few noteworthy vendors … beautiful bonsai, corian cutting boards, tiole home goods.

Wow, even in a weak economy there are no notable acts that want to play at the festival?
