DeBaun Center at Stevens in Hoboken hosts Spring Concerts

Stevens Concert Band Spring Concert: April 21st at 8pm

The Stevens Concert Band Spring Concert on April 21st at 8pm, is called “Big Bands and Broadway.”

The concert will also feature performances by the Stevens Brass Ensemble, Stevens Flute Ensemble and Stevens Woodwind Ensemble. The repertoire includes classic band and chamber music, as well as Broadway show tunes and themes. For this concert, they are offering a special Dinner and Show package. This option includes a three-course meal at Court Street Bar and Restaurant. Once tickets are purchased, a reservation will be made for you at Court Street and your concert tickets will be given to you at the restaurant. The cost of this package is $30 per person. Stevens Orchestra Spring Concert: April 28th at 8pm

The Stevens Orchestra Spring Concert, under the direction of David Leibowitz, features pieces by well-known composers such as Alexandr Glazunov, Edward Elegar and Ludwig van Beethoven. Tickets are $7 and can be purchased here.

Stevens Choir Spring Concert: April 29th at 3pm

The Stevens Choir Spring Concert, directed by Dr. Bethany Reeves, is entitled “A Night at the Movies.” The concert will feature music either written for, or prominently used in/associated with, a film. Some of the movies represented include: “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban,” “Boondock Saints,” “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” “The Shawshank Redemption,” “The Wizard of Oz” and many more. Stevens Jazz Band Spring Concert: May 2nd at 7pm

Note: This show is not being held at the DeBaun Center, but rather at the Bissinger Room (4th Floor) in the Wesley J. Howe Center (at the top of campus.)

The Stevens Jazz Band Spring Concert, under the direction of Gerald Ficeto, features a mixture of classic jazz from the songbook of American popular music and sounds of contemporary big band jazz. Tickets $7.
