Dramatic Car Crash on Park Ave.
Car nearly flips on Park Ave. in Hoboken, NJ
At around 8:30am this morning, a car traveling northbound on Park Ave. between 12th and 13th struck a few parked vehicles and turned on its side.
Luckily, no one was injured.
Neighbors who were standing outside observing the unusual Saturday morning disruption, described the crash as “very loud.” This editor here still wonders how incidents like this happen on straight roads. Observing some evidence on scene suggests that perhaps coffee and donuts might have been involved.
Which leads to the typical PSA: Treat your car like a 2 ton weapon – carefully. Eating, texting, and other distractions should be avoided!
Have a nice day, Hoboken.
It baffles me how this occurred, the angle of the striking car being so unusual- though I’m no expert. Happy to hear there were no injuries, though…
I did not witness what happened in this case, but one of the closest calls I have had with cyclist was just feet away from this address. I was going to park on the right side of the street and had checked my rear and side mirror. As I went to park a cyclist ran the stop sign. Then as I went to pull forward and to the left to give him clearance so he didn’t crash another cyclist going the wrong way and at a high speed comes at my left bumper. Sharing the road under these conditions is treacherous.
I have seen BMWs speeding as well as 1987 Fords. If you can tell from the car and accident scene photo that this was an entitled yuppie, you should be working for the FBI. Very impressive skills indeed, Spiffy.
You wonder why there is a “BnR” vs “yuppie” issue in Hoboken. Get a clue buddy.
The problem is speeding -Cars are going down the street at 40-50 mph
Bet it was another entitled yuppie who thinks the world revolves around them!
Or it could simply have been an accident. Not sure where the entitled yuppie center of the universe comment fit into this. doh.
Bet it was another entitled yuppie who thinks the world revolves around them!
