Brief Thunderstorms

Today’s thunderstorms have been very brief, with another short round coming.

These storms are a little bit different, as they have some mesocyclonic rotation, which means they’re ripe for possible tornados. Mesocyclones are the parent rotation for tornado development. Seen at the surface, a mesocyclone is the wall cloud in the southwest part of a supercell thunderstorm.

Just be alert just in case.

Since nobody is saying anything, I’m guessing this didn’t result in the usual “storm of the century” type flood. I’m away, at Dave’s house in Mantoloking, 😯 (LOL) therefore I don’t know.
