Police car accident with injuries

2:29pm Update:

What’s up with this intersection? The SECOND accident in the last hour just happened. No details yet about who/what/how.

8/16/2007 2:00pm:
In addition to another minor accident (Gold Saturn – hit and run – mirror knocked off) that just happened by 1209 Hudson St. (no injuries), there was another accident at 80 Park about 1/2 hour ago involving squad car 102 and a Pennsylvania car with plate GTM-8010. This had (unknown) injuries and what seems to be a summons for careless driving.

No photo because I can only be in one place at a time!

Let’s cram more cars and people into Hoboken! Yeah!

in ny its 3/4% tax free and in somecases you can get a job in another area but not in the same pension fund[private sector]. Also depending on the contact or dept benefits for life for you and again the contract your family. NJ’s are shit compared to ny

In NY they get disability, makes comp look like welfare. $100 says the cop claims he was responding to a call. Every single cop lies when they get into an accident and says that they were on the way to the call and had their lights on. Conveniently, they write the police report and put whatever they want in it.

So much for emergency driving skills.

There’s an accident a week on this corner. We’ve asked over and over for a more prominent Stop sign (like one not hidden behind a telephone pole), a speed bump or a light. I guess someone has to be seriously injured first. Maybe this incident will do it.

With all due respect to the police officer who was injured, if a summons was given that it was given to the cop who blew through the stop sign. No lights. No siren. Will they ever learn that the laws apply to them too?

In the mean time, you never saw such a turn out; 4 police cars (in addition to the one involved), two fire trucks and an ambulance.
