March Madness fundraiser tonight
Fundraiser for York Street Project at The Shannon in Hoboken
Longtime Hoboken resident Joanne Kramer loves helping those less fortunate – and is holding a fundraiser tonight at The Shannon from 7-10pm.
The charity is The York Street Project in Jersey City – and she’s been given the entire back room (which holds over 25 hi-def TV’s) which Joanne says “No first round March Madness NCAA games will be missed!”
“The York Street Project helps women by providing shelter, education and childcare. This is a wonderful local non-profit armed with the mission to end the cycle of poverty. Here is their website, which really lays out what they offer the community: http://www.yorkstreetproject.org.
Tickets are $45 at the door, but that includes open bar for three hours – and a sampling of the best Italian delicatessens in Hoboken! Plus, you get a chance to win a 50-50 raffle prize as well.
So whether you love helping good causes, or just looking for a decent way to “cap” your drinking expenses – check it out!
