Arthur’s Landing

9/4/2007 Clam Bake BBQ Recap:

Was a perfect day to take the light rail up to Weehawken for the First Annual Arthur’s Landing Clam Bake BBQ. There were close to 200 people that attended this 8 hour event. They enjoyed the clam bar, outdoor Barbecue and live music. I’m still trying to recover from the odd assortment of drinks I decided to choke down.

The buffet-style eats in the indoor dining rool was well above average when it comes to “buffets”. Great burgers, hot dogs, two kinds of ribs, sausage & peppers corn on the cob and more. The trays were filled with fresh food from the outdoor charcoal grill as needed.

See more pictures below.

At the outside bar, there was a large selection of clams & crabs. The band kept everyone entertained, and the bartenders were dishing out cold beer, rum and mojitos. Several reps from the liquor company were handing out free t-shirts as well. At the end, various raffle prizes were awarded, with the grand prize being dinner for two at Arthur’s Landing, along with a 2 hour “romantic” ferry trip around Manhattan.

A bunch of Hoboken people attended too. Not bad for a “rookie” first engagement. Based on this year’s event, Arthur’s plans a couple upgrades and changes for next year’s gig.

Part of the “Get out of Hoboken” series, today we take a look at Arthur’s Landing in Weehawken, NJ at Port Imperial.

I heard they have a good brunch – maybe so on most Sundays, but not today! To celebrate Father’s Day, they jacked the price of brunch $10, reduced the menu selection and did not include cocktails….and I received powdered eggs. Garbage!

Now I’m REALLY freakin’ hungry!

I wonder if I can take the ferry from Hoboken for free, too?

Video review was really cool but looked like a more NJ transit review. When you get off the light rail how far is the walk?

Aurthurs landing is a great place. I have been there twice recently and it was great both times.

best view of NY you can find anywhere.

411: Right on with the production quality. Who was that setting the mood, Bebel Gilberto? Very nice of the guy to let you into his crib like that. I always thought that place was an old N Jersey dump, (Eh, Tony. My effin’ steak was diss effin’ thick) so thanks for the tip. Hope to see more of those promo vids.
