City Council Meeting – 12/7/2011

Food Truck Ordinance swirls around in Hoboken, pulled from agenda

Again, the uprising from frustrated residents caused the city council to pull the lunch truck ordinance from the agenda this week.

The Cinnamon Snail mentioned on Facebook yesterday that 6th Ward Council Puppet Woman Jen Giattino, who authored (put her name) this ordinance, doesn’t have any food trucks in her ward, but should recuse herself from voting on this matter since her family OWNS several brick and mortar restaurants themselves… Can we say conflict of interest any louder than that?

I think Scott Siegel should take a good look at himself on these videos and see the twit he makes of himself when addressing the council. Does this zimmer rah rah cheerleader think his threats of sending letters off somewhere intimidates the minority council? Will someone buy this guy pom poms for christmas!

What brick and mortar restaurants does Giattino own? I’d like to promptly stop going to them.

Hear, hear!

Sometimes remaining inactive (and/or silent) in some areas speaks LOUDER than protests and such.

Zimmer is handing out hefty pay raises when taxes are still high and the rest of the country is suffering? That is criminal. Such a shame!
