Hillary Hawkins tribute show to Janet Jackson, “If You’re Nasty”
Hoboken singer, actor, songwriter, Hillary Hawkins brings a “Las Vegas” style show to the stage as she performs in a high energy, heart pounding new show featured at the newly restored, Historic Blairstown Theatre in Blairstown, New Jersey on October 8th at 8pm.. Hawkins and company’s live music, fierce dancing performance consists of Jackson favorites, including “Nasty”, “Rhythm Nation” and “Control”. In addition, Hawkins will perform other artists including Journey and Cyndi Lauper. Ms. Hawkins will also debut original tunes.
Hillary Hawkins is best known for her role as Robin, the host of Nick Jr., Kate in “Are you Afraid of the Dark” and Keisha on “New York Undercover.” She was also a Host for Radio Disney and the singing voice of Vanessa on “Gullah Gullah Island.” A bilingual talent, her voice was used in numerous commercials in both English and Spanish as well as in films such as “Dead Man Walking” and “Brooklyn’s Finest.” Hillary recently performed in National Tours, “If You Give a Mouse A Cookie & Other Story Books” and “Seussical The Musical.”
The role of Janet Jackson brings Hawkins’, triple threat talent to the stage as she takes us back to the time when MS Jackson became a music phenomenon. Accompanying Hillary Hawkins are New York Dancers Guapo, J-Romeo, Sunny Terrell and Reginald Mebane and New Jersey Talents Tran Whitley and Jeff Lutz. Her dancers have worked with artists such as Rihanna, Ashanti and Ne-yo, and her musicians have played with Cher, Boz Scaggs, Wayne Cochran, the C.C. Riders and more. Peter Gallagher, Executive Director, Park Avenue Talent New York will be handling bookings for the “Ms Hawkins if you’re Nasty” show, which is expect to tour the tri-state area.
