The calm before Irene in Hoboken
Hoboken waits for Hurricane Irene
An eerie calm with a subtle pinch of panic before Hurricane Irene makes it’s way to Hoboken this afternoon.
Some businesses already closed for the weekend (like the uptown Starbucks – thank God King’s still had coffee!), and others were seen boarding up and taping windows.
Judging by the garbage on the street, you’d think there was already a hurricane – but it’s like that every weekend in the Mile Square.
Be safe everyone, and hunker down between tonight and tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully, at the “aftermath happy hour” people will be able to share survival stories.
