Hoboken Tanning Salon Bronze Republic gone from 6th & Washington
Bronze Republic (formerly Hollywood Tans) has vacated their spot at 537 Washington Street.
A sign on the door indicates they “lost their lease” and will be relocating somewhere else, and customers will not be charged. However, I’m wondering how fast a “relocation” can happen. You need to find a property, negotiate a lease, design the space, get permits, planning board approval, build and so on. That could take months!

Open since October 2005, Hollywood Tans brings their franchise to Hoboken.
Situated right in the heart of the town, they serve our midtown residents perfectly.
Different from the other salons in the area, Hollywood only offers standup models.
13 UV Standup models:
– The basic HT42 (8% UVB rays – 11 minute tan)
– The souped-up HT60 (2% UVB rays – 8 minute tan)
and one 100% UV-Free spray tanning machine (tans good for 5-7 days).
Prices are relatively fair. The best deal being the $19.99 per month basic package. Which allows for one tan in the HT42 per 24 hours, and 50% discounts off machine upgrades, and 10% off lotions. You can also buy tans individually or in bulk.
If you want to try them out they have a buy one get one offer for new members. Report back on your experiences! Do you get a good tan? Are the bulbs as good as the other tanning places in town?
One good thing about the standup machines is that they're much more sanitary that the horizontal models. Something that hypochondriacs will love.
They have a friendly staff and a convenient location. Not much more to say.
