Solitude is a forgotten art form

I’m not sure if this girl was resting, sad or just contemplating life in general. But I thought the scene had a compelling amount of serenity on a warm summer afternoon near Sinatra Park.

What struck me as awesome, was the fact that she wasn’t immersed in some kind of digital world – but rather just there with herself. I think that many of us could use some “alone time,” unplugged from the frenetic social world we live in – both online and off.
