Various Hoboken incidents – Sunday, August 28, 2011. This post may be updated as necessary.

  • 8:40am: Holland Tunnel closed
    Port Authority closing Holland Tunnel due to potential flooding threat.
  • 8:20am: Green puddle is back
    That “toxic green water” is back near 8th & Grand…
  • 7:20am: Midtown tree down
    5th & Grand tree down. Not impeding traffic and no power lines down. Not deemed hazardous, just a sad day for the tree.
  • 7:00am: Downed Wires
    5th & Jefferson, wires down. Road being closed. Note – if I lose power but not cell – follow Hoboken411 on Twitter for more updates.
  • 6:45am: More tree & wires down
    Another large tree down near 8th & Park.
  • 6:30am: Man overboard incident a total waste of Police time
    The uptown “man overboard” incident that Hoboken Police is currently dealing with astounds me. Who can be so stupid?
  • 6:20am: Tree & power wires down
    As winds from Hurricane Irene pick up, reports of a tree and power wires down near 7th & Hudson Streets.
