Hangin’ out just isn’t the same anymore…

Boy, what happened to the “good ‘ole days?”

Remember when hanging out with friends involved some kind of group activity? Whether it was some creative entertainment (like the guitar or piano), playing games (monopoly or cards), or even (God-forbid) just face-to-face conversations?

Today – it’s next to impossible to go a short period of time without one or many individuals in a particular group pecking away at their smartphone. Refreshing status updates, “checking in” somewhere, or sending meaningless texts to someone who isn’t with you at that moment.

Makes me wonder why people even get together anymore at all.
