Hoboken crime and fire action: July 30, 2011

An ongoing list of various noteworthy incidents, crimes and fire-calls throughout the day for Saturday July 30, 2011. This post may be updated and “bumped” periodically.

Crimes, Incidents, Fire Calls & Vehicular mishaps

  • 1:50am (7/31/2011): Pissing on city hall
HPD issued a summons to an individual who emptied his bladder on the side of Hoboken City Hall. Not sure if this was an angry property taxpayer, or just a typical drunk!
  • 12:10am (7/31/2011): Street Assault
A 20-year old male called HPD to say he was assaulted on 3rd Street between Madison & Monroe. EMS en route. I just don’t get it.
  • 3:30pm: Scoobie van is a fire-hazard
At 10th and Garden Streets, reports of a green 1977 Volkswagen Bus leaking gas. Those meddling Scoobie Kids causing trouble again!
  • 3:15pm: Another Car accident
HPD reported a “bad hit” at 16th and Willow. This intersection is near where kids will be playing once this fruity “park by the highway to hell” opens up next year.
  • 12:45pm: Car accident
Reports of a non-voluntary vehicular merger at Observer & Henderson, no serious injuries. You figure that if accidents happen all the time in the same spot – something would be done to help prevent them? Not in Hoboken!

More to come later…
