Goldman Sachs as seen from Hoboken
New Jersey’s tallest building seen quite well from the Mile Square
Compared to the tallest buildings in America, and the rest of the world – the Goldman Sachs Building in Jersey City seems kind of weak at only 781 feet tall. However, considering I was over 2 3/4 linear miles away on the 14th Street pier when I snapped this photo – it’s pretty impressive that it still towers over Hoboken.
On the other hand – think about the tallest building in Vermont – the Decker Towers, a residential apartment building in Burlington that stands at a mere 124 feet tall.
Can you guess how many buildings in Hoboken are taller than the tallest building in Vermont?
PS – if you have images collecting dust on your camera or hard drive – send them in for eventual inclusion on Hoboken411! Please state how you’d like to be credited in your email, and a description – if desired!!
Atlantic City’s Revel Casino is the 2nd highest building in NJ (about 70 feet shorter than Goldman Sachs) and also the 2nd highest casino in the US.
