Fundraiser to Celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Hoboken Homeless Shelter

You are invited to the 25th Anniversary Celebration for the Hoboken Homeless Shelter. Please join us on Wednesday, April 18th from 7-10pm at City Bistro in Hoboken. We are asking for a minimum $25 donation at the door with all proceeds from the cover charge going to the Shelter. Several local musicians will be playing live acoustic sets and City Bistro will be offering 1/2 price drinks in addition to a buffet of complimentary appetizers.

*The mission of the Hoboken Shelter is to prevent homelessness and to assist homeless men and women re-integrate into the community. The shelter is owned and operated by The Communities of Faith for Housing, Inc. a non-profit housing corporation made up of ministers and laity from houses of worship, as well as several Hoboken community leaders. The Hoboken Shelter, which was established in 1982 and located at 300 Bloomfield Ave, provides accommodations for 50 and feeds 70 to 100 every evening. The shelter also offers workshops in the arts, life and job skills. (www.hobokenshelter.org)

Why can’t these places have these things on the weekend so more people could go? God forbid John offered the City Bistro on a Saturday for a good cause. They do it on a Wednesday when less people are available.
