An ongoing list of various noteworthy incidents, crimes and fire-calls throughout the day for Wednesday, May 18, 2011. This post may be updated and “bumped” periodically.

  • 6:50pm: Barbecued Paranoia
    A spring BBQ near 11th & Garden St. caused a neighbor to inconvenience half the Hoboken Fire Department.
  • 3:10pm: Hoboken streets destroy car (surprise)
    A car, driving near 9th & Madison – struck a “famous” Hoboken pot hole – and the wheel fell off! The car is now disabled in the middle of the road. Your increased property taxes hard at work!
  • 3:00pm: One large order of flooding coming right up! (no coupon required)
    The “conveyor belt” of moisture is now in full force in Hoboken, NJ. Avoid the flooding zones!
  • 7:25am: Car burglar busted ON THE SPOT
    A Hoboken resident spotted a man attempting to break into his car near Observery Hwy & Park Ave. HPD dispatch notified on-duty officers – and within 60 seconds, and a brief foot-pursuit, the suspect was apprehended. Amazing work HPD!
