Hoboken crime and fire action: May 23, 2011
Various noteworthy incidents, crimes and fire-calls for Monday, May 23, 2011. This post may be updated and “bumped” periodically.
- 1:10pm: Car crash by City Hall
Vehicular accident at 1st & Bloomfield. Hey, that’s City Hall again! Boy – that place is dangerous – both inside AND out! - 11:20am: Pedestrian Struck
Right in front of City Hall – a pedestrian was hit by a car. Hoboken PD and EMS en route. - 9:50am: Traffic headaches repeated ad nauseum
You can set your watch by the number of times a large tractor trailer gets stuck at 9th & Adams Streets. With a bloated transportation department in Hoboken, you’d think this problem would have been solved a long, long time ago!
- 7:20am: Judgment Day – a few days late?
All sorts of morning mayhem to start the week off: A minor apartment fire wakes snoozers up over at Stevens Institute, and a disturbance over at McDonald’s – involving a broken window. $10 says that person did NOT order a Happy Meal.
