What are they thinking?

Rise in social networks and self-portraits

There’s no doubt these days – that a good chunk of photos you see online – are those which were taken by the person(s) themselves. Very often these pictures are taken in front of mirrors, and sometimes just with the arm extended. I can only imagine how many “takes” these photo sessions must go through before they find one that meets their standards of themselves.

It’s a very interesting piece of human life – how many folks can have a negative self-image.

Which leads me to this photo which a Hoboken411 reader found online. They were attending the P. Diddy concert which took place recently. I’m sure all these girls are quite nice – but you can see a noticeably different “look” from each of them as they’re posing for this photo they plan to share with the world online. Some seem genuinely happy and “at ease,” while another is just staring at herself and not the cameras..

If you put a cartoon bubble over their heads – what are they thinking?

I get self-portraits to an extent. I don’t understand self-portraits in restrooms? Ewwww!

as far as the quote goes, at least one of them is thinking “I am hotter than they are”

Four girls posing for a camera in a semi-public setting and not one duck face. Amazing.

Sorry about Larry.

As for the cartoon bubble, I’m thinking “Well, it could always be worse” might fit in nicely. Don’t miss Facebook, and seeing albums of thirty+ pictures of the same person, dressed in the same way, and twitching into different poses.

“How you like me from this angle, moosh? Or this one? Or the next twenty-eight of them?”

I don’t.
