Hoboken Police and Fire Blotter: 5/8/2011
Hoboken crime, fire & incident update: May 8, 2011
Various Hoboken incidents – Sunday, May 8, 2011. This post may be updated as necessary.
- 6:55am (5/9/2011): Dumpster Fire
HFD reported an apparent dumpster fire on Garden St. between 14th & 15th Street. God can only imagine what set that off!
- 12:10am (5/9/2011): Suspicious activity
Reports of “two suspicious males carrying bags across lot near 9th Street Light Rail.“ What is it with bags these days? Regardless – HPD going to check out whether theft or other nefarious activity is taking place…
- 11:40pm: Terrorist fear is the new abandoned backpack
A bag on a bench was left behind by someone over at Church Square Park, sparking someone’s concern enough to call HPD. I sure hope that “man with untucked shirt” doesn’t spark the same reaction! A lot of us would be in big trouble!
- 10:45pm: You can’t fall up the stairs drunk
Hoboken EMS was dispatched to 87 Jefferson Street – for a male passed out drunk. Guess the Mother’s Day happy hours were really great!
- 10:40pm: Drunk roommate fracas
HPD was dispatched to quell a dispute between two drunk roomies at 9th & Washington. So much for a lazy May Sunday!
- 10:35pm: Drunk female causing issues
An intoxicated woman was being treated by Hoboken EMS, acting combative and refusing treatment. Maybe this is what “water boarding” was invented for?
Reports of a street fight on River St. between 1st & 2nd. 100 bucks says neither party is high on cheeba.
In an apartment near 13th & Willow – one female assaulted her female roommate. Was arrested. Maybe finding roomies on Craigslist not such a great idea?
Several parked cars were struck at 12th & Hudson Streets.
HFD was dispatched to 1213 Washington St. for reports of fire alarm activation. Burnt food once again… thanks for the Mother’s Day traffic tie up people!
Two cars involved in a crash near 9th & Willow. No injuries reported.
The Hoboken PATH train crashed into the wall – injuring over 30 passengers.
