Hoboken crime and fire action: April 26, 2011

An ongoing list of various noteworthy incidents, crimes and fire-calls throughout the day for Tuesday, April 26, 2011. This post may be updated and “bumped” periodically.

  • 8:20pm: Kids being jumped!
Reports of a group of kids being jumped at the corner of 3rd & Bloomfield. I guess Nintendo Wii isn’t enough to keep kids occupied these days.
  • 8:00pm: Crime Meeting Wraps Up
Many Hoboken residents went over to William Howard Home this evening to participate in the Crime Meeting. Stick Romano, Anthony Falco, and Terry Castellano were amongst city officials reaching out to concerned residents. Thanks for caring about our community!
  • 7:30pm: Woman walking around cut & disheveled
Several residents called HPD saying they spotted a woman walking northbound from 14th & Willow “multiple cuts” on her body, and her “clothes falling off.” Wow, that’s a bad day if I ever heard of one!
  • 7:10pm: “Happy Hour” Bar Fight!
Reports of a bar fight at Hoboken Bar & Grill at 230 Washington Street. I’d be pretty mad too – that place kinda blows.
  • 6:55pm: “Large Fight” in the projects
Hoboken Police are getting reports of a large street fight near 310 Jackson Street (the same building with the mattress fire early this morning), and were told to “use caution.” Can’t we all just get along?
  • 6:40pm: Accident snarls rush hour traffic
Reports of a NJ Transit Bus which struck a parked car at 8th & Willow has created a mile-long jam coming into Hoboken from the north. Avoid the area – go east or west and don’t run over any pedestrians!

More updates to come…

So roughed up, she can’t remember who she is. Someone probably slipped her something and took off with her belongings. Awful.

Any word on the cut-up and disheveled woman?

Re: The large fight in the PJ’s, I hope no one loses any time off work…
