Reporter Roundup – 3/26/2007

suggestion box shredder - Reporter Roundup - 3/26/2007Continuing the ongoing series, here are some highlights from the 3/25/2007 edition of our local paper, The Hoboken Reporter.

Quickly reviewing the paper (while stressing about server issues):

  • Cover story about how sad Hoboken residents became when Roxy Roxie Foxie Foxy the dog was mowed down by a hit and run driver.
  • More about the crappy living conditions on Garden Street.
  • Bernard Kenny: A political career summary article along with a thankful farewell letter from Mayor Roberts about the state assemblyman Senator who’s not seeking re-election.
  • The man found dead under the bridge uptown was NOT homeless.
  • Board of Education elections coming April 17th, and more about the $50M+ budget.
  • Another two-page letters to the editor section this week. Political highlights included Councilman Cricco expressing his concerns about the possible Hotel on Observer Highway, candidacy announcements from Richard Tremitiedi, Bill Noonan, Beth Mason and Perry Belfiore. Chris Campos continues to rebut Dawn Zimmer about the Southwest Redevelopment Plan. Another reader questioned the motivation behind one readers drunk driving letter.

That’s it… Anything else worth noting?
