Hoboken crime and fire action: March 15, 2011

An ongoing list of various noteworthy incidents, crimes and fire-calls throughout the day for Tuesday, March 15, 2011. This post may be updated and “bumped” periodically.

  • 10:42pm: Assault with parking boot
    Reports of a man assaulting a person with a parking boot in the garage at 215 Hudson Street. What a champ!
  • 10:25pm: NYC Fireworks
    A lot of people are concerned with the noise that’s obviously fireworks. It’s coming from NYC and apparently for St. Patrick’s Day. See? St. Patty’s is disturbing no matter what!
  • 4:55pm: Auto accident with injuries
    At the intersection of 2nd and Washington Streets – reports of a car accident with injuries. Again, straight lines and traffic signals too difficult for people to manage.
  • 1:30pm: Armed Robbery
    In broad daylight today – an armed robbery allegedly took place at W. Kodak Jewelers at 60 Newark Street downtown. It’s unknown at the moment what was stolen. Police are investigating.
