Zero Tolerance for St. Pattys Parade
2/25/2011:
Hoboken hosts massive booze party on March 5th
Yet cannot tolerate inebriated idiots – will fine accordingly
As you can see from the free Public Service Announcement Hoboken411 has provided here (on the left) – and as Police Chief Falco outlined – there will be stiff monetary penalties for getting too silly during the 2011 Hoboken St. Patrick’s Parade festivities on March 5th.
I bumped a story earlier this afternoon wondering – is this just an income-producing bait and switch operation? Is it constitutional?
As one commenter said in the 2011 SPD Preview thread – in court, they saw drunk drivers who left the scene of an accident – receive substantially lesser fines than someone just sitting on their stoop with a paper cup in their hands!
Enjoy the day one way or another!
The city should zone a party area where people can walk around with open containers, like other cities have.
We have such a zone. It’s called, “somewhere else, but not here, not anymore. Try Belmar.”
The city should zone a party area where people can walk around with open containers, like other cities have.
