AOL: Pretty much doomed to those that are awake
To the many very observant inhabitants of Planet Earth – this news that America Online bought the Huffington Post essentially puts the nail in the coffin for straight-forward information coming from that media entity.
Before you form an opinion and try and attack the messenger, you might want to do some research first. You see, the world is cluttered with many sources of so-called “information.” Some are deemed credible, others spin the truth and attempt to indoctrinate the less aware individuals (see: sheeple) with phony fluff.
Check out George Soros and his investment in the Huffington Post. Also research some of the things that Arianna Huffington has said in the past. You can kiss AOL – and everything they stand for good bye. I’d consider this the last gasp to hang on to the illusion that “people just don’t get it.”
Get your tons of salt ready! You’ll need handfuls of it when (if) you read anything that comes from AOL in the future!
Shopping today? Want 10 bucks for free?
If you’re ready to buy a book, DVD or toy today – why not check out Barnes & Noble – and use this $20 for $10 Groupon?
You need to buy it today (if it’s not sold out already) – and use it by 4/10 in order to get the free bucks. You can use online or in stores – and is valid for sale items too. Guess they need to revenue to stay afloat!
Football. Super Bowl. Winner. Meh.
When teams I could care less about play in the Super Bowl – I spend my time doing more productive things.
Either way, congratulations to the Green Bay Packers for winning the game. And also to the winners of various pools, boxes and bets!
However, I did watch the final minute – and realized very clearly – what used to be “photographs of the winning team celebrating” have turned into “photographs of the winning team trying to avoid the orgy of news photographers to find their teammates and celebrate the win…”
Can’t they let the team celebrate before bum-rushing the field? C’mon!
Hoboken weather this week
As of the most recent forecast – the next “big storm” that had potential to affect our area – seems to be a dud – looking like it’ll head out to sea to our south. That, of course is subject to change – but for now, there’s nothing to be concerned about.
Enjoy your week!
