60 Second Review: Re Juice a Nation

Stick with the juices

Re.Juice.a.Nation (64 Newark St.) is known for some pretty good smoothies and juices, just like the name indicates.

I actually went there the other day looking for a particular Hale and Hearty Soup – but they didn’t have it (you never really know what the soup is gonna be, right?) Instead, I decided to “live a little,” and experiment with one of their pre-packaged sandwiches. What was I thinking?

With all the great sandwich shops in Hoboken (Biancamano’s, Fiore’s, The Taco Truck, Vito’s, La Isla) – I said “why not?” I chose the last remaining roast beef sandwich – because I assumed it was their most popular one. For close to $8 – you got a pretty average sandwich. A heaping mound of lettuce, and a few slices of roast beef, onions, and some horseradish dressing.

Nothing to write home about. Stick with the juices, unless you’re jonsing for a quick fix, and every other place in Hoboken has lines like Carlo’s Bakery.

this place is very overrated…you can hit up a place like the farmboy right down the block, pay the same prices for juices and you will end up with organic, fresh veggies/fruits instead of the conventional/frozen crap they have behind the counter there….soups are only thing worth going for although two days back they sent me home with a different soup than the one I ordered. The sandwiches are a huge rip off…like hoboken411 said, a ton of bread with a lack of meat.

I have to also agree about the salads! I just ordered 2x from here this week! The smoothies are amazing, and the soups good too (although the souped change daily without knowing what they will be ) there are always at least 5 choices per day! I personally HAVE had a sandwich here before (its been awhile, but still) So you don’t make it your neighborhood sandwich shop- but as the name suggests- at least try a smoothie!
