Another bad intersection

harrison-paterson-intersection.gifHere’s another reader-submitted incident that seems to occur often. It’s the intersection at Harrison and Paterson.

SWHotty says:

“Accidents every month at intersection of Paterson and Harrison. How many more accidents until someone’s killed? You can’t see the other car because it had to move out of the way since it was blocking traffic. I just don’t understand why they can’t put a light there! Thanks – your website keeps us laughing (and informed!)”

The intersection will be part of the Southwest Redevelopment Area.

The Mayor has shut out the public on the planning of this area.

After all the election promises of the past and I am sure in the future Hoboken City Hall has done nothing.
Their plan is to turn over the area to developers who will not fix infratructure or traffic problems but just build condo towers, make huge profits and then fold their LLC’s and walk away.

That is what we have seen in the past. We have no reason to expect the same people to do anything different in the future.

the two streets that run parralel to the 9th st station….they NEED to put some Stop signs up there. You simply cannot create a transit station and not protect the nearby blocks when you do so…so absurd. Especially since as these are among the very rate streets where there are not Stop signs every block, you get those assholes getting up to speed to prove a point, while trains are unloading nearby. Nice work from the monkies who run NJTRANSIT.
