Hoboken crime and fire action: January 28, 2011

An ongoing list of various noteworthy incidents, crimes and fire-calls throughout the day for Friday, January 28, 2011. This post may be updated and “bumped” periodically.

  • 11:50pm – The Last 12 Hours: Snow, Cars, Snow and more Cars!
    The reason there have been limited updates today – is because the airwaves have been chock full of snow plowing, towing, double-parking, blocked intersections, stuck trucks and more. Went through three sets of scanner batteries in one day already. A new record! So in other words – minutia!
  • 10:00am: Slip and Fall
    220 Harrison, an individual slipped and fell on the slippery sidewalks – and is requesting medical attention.
  • 9:40am: Street Closure
    Because of PSE&G work, Jefferson Street between 2nd and 3rd is closed.
  • 9:05am: Wires down
    Reports of “wires down” on Court Street near 7th Street.
  • 8:45am: More truck hit and run carnage
    A tractor trailer struck a parked car at 7th and Willow and took off. The rig had Florida license plates.
