Back to Broadway Cabaret Series
Some fun & theatrical fun for you this week!
The Theater Company Heads Back to Broadway!
Part of the Cabaret Series…
The Theater Company (TTC) will be celebrating the best of Broadway once again on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 8pm with BACK TO BROADWAY. Part of TTC’s Cabaret Series, this one night only event will be a fund raiser for The Theater Company with all proceeds to benefit the remainder of their 2010-2011 Season.
This past Fall, TTC produced its season announcement and fund raiser ON BROADWAY. Not only was there a full house for the debut of TTC’s new studio space, but it was a very memorable evening for all. TTC would like to repeat the magic of this event with a similar night, but this time there will be new performers sprinkled in among TTC’s seasoned veterans.
“We had such a great turn out last time that when many of our patrons asked us to put on another one, we made sure to find the time on our calendar,” noted Producing Artistic Director David Zimmerman.
BACK TO BROADWAY is a Cabaret-style production that will include songs from the Broadway stage with performances by past and present TTC performers: Jerome L. Amanquiton, Farrah Denis, Jenny Fersch, Paula Galloway, Abigail Grace, Mercedes Harrod, Clarence Ilanan, Andrew Lister, Justin Luciano, David Maglione, Judith Moss, Christine Orzepowski, Liza Poor, Mariah Sade Ralph, Nicole Spano, Emily Voorhees, and Adena Weisholtz.
These great performers will be performing hits like “I’m Here” from THE COLOR PURPLE, “Make Them Hear You” from RAGTIME, “Being Alive” from COMPANY, and much more.
There is a suggested donation of $20 for this event, but as Zimmerman says, “no donation is too small… or too large!” “After the success of the event this past October, it will be great to give our patrons what they asked for and continue to christen out new studio space with such wonderful music.”
