Hoboken Lunch Nuggets: 11/15/2010

This was supposed to be “Breakfast Nuggets,” but the dang third Hoboken water main break in 5 days stole the morning headlines…

Downtown car fire leads to arrest

Some of you might have seen (or read on 411’s Twitter stream) a brilliant car fire that took place near 1st and Grand Streets this past Friday. Kudos to the Hoboken Fire Department for arriving so quickly and extinguishing the blaze in minutes.

Bad luck however, to the driver of the smokey set of wheels – he was arrested because of outstanding warrants.

Each day this week will feature one photograph of the bar scene in Hoboken, NJ.

Your Hoboken weather outlook

We got some potentially “soaking” rain predicted for Tuesday, but otherwise the rest of the week looks OK!

Hoboken Redwings bow out, finish season 7-3

The Hoboken Redwings Varsity football team made the playoffs as the 8th Seed in the NJSIAA North 2 Group 1 bracket.

However, they left as quickly as they arrived this past Saturday – losing in the first round to New Providence 24-21. Better luck next year!

Hoboken PAL team finished undefeated champs!

Unlike the Redwings, the Hoboken PAL League Middleweights finished their season undefeated, and won the championship yesterday by defeating North Bergen 32-6. Congratulations!

Enjoy your week ahead!
