More drunken vehicular smashery

Straight lines not so straight for the drunken driver

Hoboken roads are a nice neat lattice-work of straight lines which are easy to navigate and understand. Not so much for the inebriated driver, though.

Just like the drunk who damaged four cars a week ago – A massive hurtin’ was put on this silver Honda on Hudson Street between 12th and 11th early Monday morning. No further information about who inflicted the damage – and the owner apparently isn’t aware either – because the Hoboken Police simply left a note on the car indicating the date and case number (31797) of the incident.

I’d hate to arrive to my car and see this wreckage. The odd thing is that Hudson Street was recently re-paved – so what’s the problem? Is it possible liver-jarring potholes actually keep our roads safer?

My car is 10 years old and I’d estimate it has at least 20 dents of various sizes on just about every part of the body caused by drivers who’ve smacked into the car and never left a note or anything. I’ve also had both of my mirrors knocked off by hit-and-run drivers. That’s why I’m in no rush to buy a new car.

If this is bad now, imagine if they lay off many cops?

There was another car hit in this same incident. It’s the third time in the last 6 months his car has been hit by a drunk driver.
If this is bad now, imagine if they lay off many cops?
