Councilman Cunningham parks illegally

Lawmaker’s big SUV finally gets a ticket

A Hoboken411 reader pointed out that 5th Ward Councilman (and “lawmaker”) Peter Cunningham parked his large Toyota Land Cruiser SUV in the intersection of 11th and Garden Streets last night, and received an appropriate parking summons for the offense. I suspect that the Hoboken Police extended a mild courtesy to him by not towing his truck the way they do other intersection offenders on a daily basis.

You can OPRA ticket number 0905-MC-505105 later to see if it was paid or dismissed. The reader said “Good Job HPD.”

Cunningham is the epitome of scvmbag! He is an arrogant, self serving POS. I witnessed him trying to get votes at fire scenes as victims sat outside watching their homes burn. Took place a week before an election as he promoted himself asking for votes. Unfortunately nobody knocked this guys teeth out!

This guy has always been a scumbag…I saw him once at a fire on 7th and Bloomfield promoting himself. Meanwhile, several cars were damaged and two home about to go up with the residents and owners frantic about losing everything and this fuck is trying to pimp votes! He is lucky nobody broke his nose!

Wonder if the local politicos get placards or even better the windshield “shields”? I have seen the BD of Ed, FD, PD, etc, etc, etc placards and lots of other Hudson Co. towns’ shields for all kinds of officials. Just thinking if there was nothing in the truck, the officers didn’t know who it was and they just nabbed him in a round of summonses.

The bigger story will be what happens to the ticket. Will it get paid or disappear? Personally, I have seen people get fired for “fixing” tickets, but of course that was not in NJ. A wise politician always just pays it to avoid impropriety (i.e. the last AG and her speeding ticket).
