Hoboken Stolen Car Mayhem!

1/17/2010:

Stolen van, crashed cars, and more!

Overheard moments ago on the Hoboken411 Live Police and Fire Action Channel – was a report of a stolen white Chevy Astrovan from the area of 11th and Adams.

Vehicle supposedly fled north, and proceeded to smash into another vehicle near 15th and Adams, causing substantial damage (you know, those vans can’t handle whatsoever!)

The actor fled the scene on foot. He was described only as wearing dark clothing. No ethnicity or direction of flight is known at this time. Weehawken Police has also sent a couple units in to assist.

Search is currently underway uptown.

Colors was great and I never get sick of seeing it when color surfing. Best line for imitating: “What’s the matter Danny? Didn’t you know I was a hooooooomegirl?”

I had the cargo Astro with only two seats so if it was raining, we would load up the back with boxes of flares (probably not the safest thing). That thing would do a 180 or 350 on you fast enough to make the General Lee jealous.

Nice Colors reference nacholibre. I had to drive a Ford Aerostar panel van at work for a while in the 80’s. It was real easy to roll when it was empty. A good bump at highway speed could take two wheels off the ground. Forget that thing in the rain or snow.

Was it a low rider or something? Tinted windows? Kicker and amp pumping salsa music? Were you sporting a raiders hat and an 8 ball jacket while cruising the streets?

I had an Astro van for work many years ago…death trap, especially in the rain. I am impressed it’s still running on NJ streets.

I appreciate your honesty. I know it must be very difficult to acknowledge you actually drove one of these. Before that, you drove a rickshaw correct?
