Heat wave issues

Update – 2:05am: The heat wave is pretty much over, as it has cooled down to about 80 degrees, but there was a brief power outage causing some street lights across town to shut off as well as police computers to reboot. Nice system they have there, huh? No power management or filtering?
How’s everyone holding up in the heat?

Have been hearing a few cases of heat exhaustion around town (one on the Academy bus this evening), as well as a homeless man who just had heat stroke by the CVS downtown.

Our town doesn’t have any official “cooling centers” open unless unless there is a rolling blackout??? That is a bit nonsensical.

Only the Multi-Service Center at 124 Grand St. would be open in case of blackout.

Seems a bit weak that that is the only option they give the residents of town.

I haven’t been to Tutta Pasta in ages. Past it, yes, but not inside. My recollection is that they have an upscale atmosphere and prices to match, but I’ll bow to those of you who’ve set foot in the place in the past ten years. I haven’t.

noone–still smarting, eh?

when was the last time you saw the church give away anything?

she acted like it was strange that churches were not handing out water. the girl is clearly dilusional. She thinks their are no bums on Washington Street and that the church cares.

Agreed though, Tutta Pasta isn’t horrible, but def not “upscale.” Nice gesture though!! Kudos!
