Italian Clothes for Women!

3/12/2010 Update:

Italian Clothing for the ladies…

Swung by this “What Next?” location over at the old Cartridge World spot at 419 Washington this week – and a worker on scene mentioned that it’s going to become an “Italian clothing store for women.”

Italian Clothing store for women coming to Hoboken NJ - Italian Clothes for Women!

PREVIOUS UPDATES AFTER THE JUMP…

1/5/2010:

[Continuing this week’s “What’s Next for Hoboken?” series here on Hoboken41…]

Cartridge World Hoboken NJ Empty - Italian Clothes for Women!

How can we fill this Washington St. spot?

Playing “musical vacant Hoboken stores,” Cartridge World recently moved to a previously unoccupied spot at 401 Bloomfield – leaving this spot at 419 Washington vacant and for rent.

Despite it being a 1/2 below street level spot – I’m sure something would work here, right? Perhaps another Massage Parlor? Haha!

Photoshop suggestion: if the image of the pink dress person was reversed (mirrored) it would appear to have a light source coming from a similar direction as the background photo. Both are lit from about 45 degrees off the front – but from different sides.

But considering the gimmicky post-jerseyshore/cakeboss crap, keep the height as is. Snooki would come up to her knees.

Good eye Hans. I thought the same thing. Shadows get more blurred the further away the object is from the surface the shadow is cast on, making it sharper and a little darker at her feet than at her head. Often they appear just slightly blue, because of the ambient light from the blue sky.

I generally like your more hokey photoshops anyway, they’re usually slightly obvious and a little absurd. But if you wanted to do something a little more seamless touches like that help.

Totally agree about some of the more obvious PSs. Some are hilarious because the obviousness is part of the joke.

This one in particular…

So is this going to be normal made-in-Italy clothing or is it going to be gimmicky post-jerseyshore/cakeboss crap?

Hopefully it will be real Italian clothing, or at least have the vibe of the uptown bag/purse store, Viola Vita. Love that store, and it has the best windows in town. The owner is always changing the display and the store just has this great European feel.

It is the same owner as Beau Brummel (Brunello) across the street which has fabulous mens clothing. His wife is opening a womans store in this new space…..it should open in April/May, I’m excited!
