Cool New Real Estate Site

How many of you Hoboken non-homeowners are waiting for the real estate bubble to burst and bring home prices down to the, uh, modest level of income that most of us might make?

Although Fortune Magazine recently wrote “Get out now“, many people I know are on the fence. Is it better to buy the cheapest house in a rich neighborhood, or the other way around?

I heard that in some places of the country, the families you meet at open houses are actually hired actors that you might see on TV!

Also, who can trust Fannie Mae when they were recently blasted for poor risk management?

Sigh. Anyway, on to the technology.

We all know about Zillow. The very nice valuation site. I’m sure many owners may be hoping to cash out what Zillow claims their house is worth and more.

But here’s a new real estate listings site, Trulia. It’s based on Google Maps, and pretty cool too. This will be much better once it gains popularity and more listings are added. Hoboken only has a handful of listings. But still quite slick.

I’ve always heard to buy the cheapest place, not in the richest neighborhood, but the one with the best schools.
