Spa Restaurant
Spa Diner under new ownership in Hoboken
A couple years ago, the Spa Diner was included in a Hoboken411 list of local businesses that were up for sale.
Well, it’s time to close that thought – as “The Spa” is officially under new ownership. The operation will continue “as is” for the foreseeable future. So no worries about a favorite “dirty spoon” closing anytime soon!
Listen to owner Sean McGarr talk about the Spa Diner – in an interview we did with him yesterday with Hoboken Internet Radio. Great stuff (you can also listen to the full interview to hear about their other exciting Hoboken projects – including the exciting House of ‘Que authentic Texas style BBQ restaurant this summer!)
Full Interview:
Description: Diner, Burger place. New Owners as of 2015 (same as The Ainsworth, Little Town Social, House of ‘Que).
Address: 74 Hudson St, Hoboken, NJ 07030-5603
Telephone: (201) 653-6617
Older Spa Diner photo from 2006:
Every town needs a reliable greasy spoon, it would seem.
For late night/early a.m. heart attack food that neutralizes the massive alcohol consumption.
Especially in Hoboken.
The Spa has been it for at least 20 years.
Roaches & rat hairs are part of the late night ambience.
And they’re everywhere in the restaurant region, night & day.
Just more transparent at The Spa.
Bon Appetit!
Went to Spa around midnight Sunday after a couple drinks. There were 2 roaches crawling on the wall by our booth. Right above the table. I couldn’t finish my meal – just wanted to get out. I will NEVER go there again. Next time, we’ll just head home and cook something there. Yuck!
The roach viewing is free. LOL Thank god there were not any RATS IN THE RONI’s. lol

The Spa…used to eat there. I thought it would be impossible to screw up breakfast, but they did! That and i think the place is filthy, but thats just my opinion. The malibu is the only other alternative I guess, but somewhat out of the way.
What is your guess? Mine is:
