Sinatra Park Cafe

5/3/2007 Update:

It seems like this place got deep sixed. Number is disconnected, and there are IRS notices that were slipped under the door. One of the best locations in town, IMO. But I never liked the food and usually doubled over in pain after eating anything there.

One reader suggested that the owner of the Little League Field Field House should take over. Also rumored that Stevens has the contract now.

Anyone else have any insight as to what’s happening to this perfect locale? What are they waiting for? This is prime season!

It was a stupid idea to begin with- combining a food service place so freakin’ close to the foulest public restroom not in a third world countty. No wonder why 411 doubled in pain everytime he ate there, the kicthen area was 12 inches from where Path Train Teddy takes a shower!

They should close down any food facility in that disgusting building. Make the rest storage. Get a hot dog vendor for cheap bites for the people who don’t want to go to actual resturants serving food just a few yards away.

This town needs more affordable housing!

That’s what it should be converted too!

I saw 4 homeless types on Pier A today, what happens to them when the weather turns lousy???

why not let them move in!

Path Train Teddy could run the place!!!

Last summer we spent numerous Thursday evenings out at the cafe listening to the free music. It was BYO and they even provided wine glasses. Then we’d go have dinner at a real restaurant, which this place, in its current state, could really never be. I can’t overemphasize what a great experience it was. We felt very lucky. We accepted it for what it was and I am so glad the rest of the people of the town brushed it off. If it doesn’t come back at all this summer it is going to be a terrible shame! This town is managed so poorly… SIGH.
