Your Top 5 Restaurants in Hoboken?

10/13/2009:

We all eat out for various reasons – but where?

Unless you’re the most disciplined person on earth, there’s no way you can go an entire year without eating at any of the many restaurants choices in Hoboken.

top 5 most frequented hoboken restaurants - Your Top 5 Restaurants in Hoboken?

Where you might eat or order from the most may depend on numerous factors:

  • Many of us have “favorite” spots, regardless of location.
  • Some of us pick restaurants that are conveniently located in our neighborhoods.
  • And ordering delivery usually depends on quality, consistency, value and mood.

Survey: Where do you eat the most?

Think back since the beginning of 2009 – what are your Top 5 MOST FREQUENTED Hoboken restaurants? (for both eat-in and delivery?) Note that this isn’t necessarily your Top 5 FAVORITE places per se, but rather where do you order from or eat at THE MOST… Heck it could even be Dunkin’ Donuts or Starbucks for that matter… just curious where you all visited most this year.

Love the fact that after I gave a shout out to Court Street (yes, I screwed up by saying Court House), it started to show up on people’s list. Then I realized I didn’t put mine up (for most frequent and including take out) :

1) Luca Brasi
2) Istana
3) Piccolos
4) JB Bagels (The place on Hudson and Newark)
5) Court Street/3 As (tie)

Good thing y’all warned me about the “frequent” not necessarily “best”. However, I agree with H411 #1 Sri Thai, and IMHO I know real Thai food that they will not dumb down if you ask them.

#1. Sri Thai
#2. Satay Malaysian (even family in SFO rave about their best sauces)
#3. Cluck U (it killed my late-night Johnny Rockets cravings)
#4. Illusion Japanese ($10 lunch box specials!)
#5. Oddfellows (when I just need my New Awlins fix)

1. Oddfellows – Best Burger
2. Court Street – Great food, wine and affordable prices. Love the steak (Filet Mignon sandwich)
3. Filippo’s on 1st – Best Pizza
4. 3 Forty Grill – Best Brunch
5. Augustino’s – Best Italina

Almost made it: Amanda’s (Italian),Zafra (Cuban), Four L’s (Bar food),

Overrated: Trinity, Sushi Lounge, Quays,

emarche, don’t get me wrong– the best Chinese food I ever had came from a hole in the wall in Chinatown that looked worse than The Spa.

Fine. I’ll try it. I’ve heard not so good reviews about the place but I’ll try it. I do love Turning Point for diner food, though :)!

One thing getting lost in the thread here are the top 5 places we frequent, not necessarily the top 5 places in town.
