Readerpix: Graffiti on new 126 bus

7/18/2009:

You know – Hoboken just recently got “blessed” with some new, modern NJ Transit buses – and in a matter of weeks – some have already been defaced by disrespectful individuals.

Hoboken411 reader Jordan sent some evidence in, and comments:

Hoboken411 reader photo of the day – 7/18/2009

“Tonight on the brand new 126, I noticed this graffiti while sitting in the last row of the bus It did not take very long for this to happen… Really frustrating how people could be so inconsiderate and obnoxious by doing this. Thought maybe you would post something showing these pictures. One of the pictures says “Latin King.” Maybe title of posting could be “Wanted Latin King of Hoboken.” Apparently the Latin King is the person who did this. Maybe the name of a gang. I don’t know.”

[Stay tuned for tomorrow’s Readerpix entry! – Note: one reader’s photo(s) will be featured each day at approximately 11am. Unless your photo is time-sensitive – it will be published in the order it was received! Additional note: Your pictures will have a better chance of being published if they’re in “landscape” mode, as opposed to the taller “portrait” modes… ]

Crime is as irrelevant to this thread as gangs are douchey. Crimes happen in the ‘burbs– it’s just that most of them go unnoticed. To put it another way, I’d rather have my car break down in Harlem in the middle of the night than in Long Island.

And as for the Latin Kings– is this a last resort effort to keep the name alive?

What a joke, just like the above attempt at tagging (graffiti). My six-year-old neighbor can do better.

i figured if i said farm then less people would get offended than if i said, oh i dont know, suburbs. but you are correct that i did think of it on my own, and no i did not grow up on a farm.

and i never called farm boy jordan dumb. i implied he was ignorant to the ‘graffiti, gang and crime’ situation since he would have no reason to experience any of those things on a farm.

Grew up in LA and tagged as a teenager. This is some of the toyest (worst) looking tagging I’ve seen. It’s obviously some dumbshit kids that have no clue.
