OLG: New electronic messaging board
4/9/2009:
Church 2.0
Our Lady of Grace Church in Hoboken recently installed a new electronic messaging board on the northwest corner of 4th and Willow – informing area residents and local parishioners of upcoming events, “messages from God,” and so on. I think it’s nice that they got into the 21st Century.
What do you think of their new way to “reach out and touch someone?”
PS – seeing this video reminds me to clean my lens more often. Such a friggin slob I can be!!
while i don’t think the sign is particularly nice looking, i do think it must be about 10x more effective than a traditional black church board with the white stuck-in letters that nobody reads.
it’s probably also a lot easier / faster to change messages etc.
The sign would have served it’s purpose and looked somewhat better either along side the rectory or school building.
The sign is ugly, out of place, and not particularly effective. If a regular Hoboken business tried to install one of these it would be yanked within 48 hours.
Cool– I want one of these!
Looks terrible. I agree that it is tacky and does not blend in well
