A market for unused wedding gear?

How much can you recover?

Hoboken411 reader “keats” had a wedding gone awry – despite spending the thousands of dollars for the wedding dress and everything else usually purchased for the lavish and spectacular event of matrimony.

Do you have any suggestions of how she can recover some of her investment back? Is there a used market? Pawn shop? Broker?

What is the typical return on a wedding dress like this? 10 cents on the dollar? 50? Should she try eBay? Craigslist?

Engaged, but not anymore…

“I need help from local hobokeners. I was engaged and bought a Vera Wang wedding dress and everything else from veil to shoes, only to have wedding called off year later. Tough economy now has me with gown I need to sell… brand new still at Vera Wang Sak’s 5th ave in Short Hills. I paid over $5000.00 for the gown but willing to sell for more than half. I am out of ideas, but need to sell. Can you help by posting on 411.com?”

ROFL. . .I wanna make you smile whenever you’re sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
All I wanna do is grow old with you.
I’ll get your medicine when your tummy aches
build you a fire if the furnace breaks
Oh it could be so nice, growin old with you.
I’ll miss you, kiss you, give you my coat when you are cold.
Need you, feed you, I’ll even let you hold the remote control.
So let me do the dishes in the kitchen sink
Put you to bed when you’ve had too much to drink.
Oh I could be the man to grow old with you.
I wanna grow old with you.

nacho, very true the memories are still here but the marriage isn’t.
