Giuliani to endorse Christie for Governor

2/17/2009 Update:

Corzine wasn’t invited to his own backyard

Below are some photos taken at the press conference held by gubernatorial candidate Chris Christie and his pal Rudy Giuliani at Maxwell Place Park this afternoon. About five press teams, and about 30 others were on hand to hear the speeches. Video will be on Fox 5 and Channel 2 news tonight.

Some soundbites:

Christie: “Will stop the one-off’s to fill budget gaps…”
Giuliani: “Christie would step into a tough economic situation, just like I did when I became NYC Mayor…”
Onlookers: “Boy, they are really sticking it to Corzine in the *** by having it in his backyard!”

Politicos mill around Hoboken

Yesterday, two campaign workers apparently “leaked” information that Rudy Giuliani and Chris Christie will be in Hoboken today at 3pm, where Rudy will endorse Christie for NJ Governor. This is supposed to occur over at Maxwell Place Park.

I’ll try and get down there and see what happens.

Rightfully, under the law Judy Tripodi has broad authority as per State statute. Has she ever exceeded her authority? This has not been challanged formally. Perhaps, the best way to go at this point in time is for the city council to get their act together and with our new Mayor Zimmer formulate a sound plan to lead the path out of State supervision. We should then ask the new Governor to oversee that it does not get caught in Bureauacratic Red Tape….perhaps, our new Attorney General can help in this area.

Christie fought a lot of corruption and hope he does more as Gov. I encourage people to write and tell him about what has gone on in this town and to send the troops to make Hoboken his first example of how he plans to clean the state up. Remove tripodi and put someone with reall authority and balls to whip this place into shape.

No. 71…”after drinking 2 bottles of wine”…are these facts? I question your remarks! As for the age factor, what’s the excuse for the existing governing body? Youth? :mrgreen:LOL

the best one had to be when the old washed up ex-mayor Capiello decides to get up and say he is running for mayor. Is that like running into the back of a cop car after drinking 2 bottles of wine. Wow, wouldn’t an 85 year old ex-mayor be a great candidate. Just what Hoboken needs that will get everyone out of a mess!!!! 🙄

Perhaps if he loses about four chins and 200 lbs. he may avert the seemingly inevitable candidacy-busting myocardial infarction. Odd he selected the thrice-married, cross-dressing, lisping sociopath to scratch his back. How many times did Whore Rudy manage to reference his tried and true bread-winner, “Nine-Eleven”?[/quote]
